I read the book in preparation for a podcast on Manage This where we interviewed Dr. MH Pelletier. Our conversation with MH was important – she’s offering life-altering advice to our group of listeners (project manager) who are notoriously driven people… driven to the point of exhaustion and burnout. MH examines burnout closely in the book. She points out the signs that burnout is around the corner and approaching fast. I found these warning signals extremely helpful personally and for anyone who leads a team and needs to be looking out for each team member.

Leaders must model this behavior and pursue resilience “publicly” so that others catch it and follow suit. If you know you need to build your own resilience plan, start by getting this book. Your team will thank you!”
